Real Time Dogfight Simulation "Tactical Air Combat Simulator"

Forever Games has released Tactical Air Combat Simulator - the 20th century aerial joust (TACS). TACS is a unique real time tactical dogfight simulation game using wire frame 3D graphics where player commands each plane in the team of AI-controlled biplane fighters by selecting its tactics and target in real time. The player may also directly control the leader's plane in the Human Pilot mode. It is played against computer or by up to 3 players on a single machine and features many other options such as camera mode, game mode, terrain, AI level, and graphic mode. Although the screen consists of old-style vector graphics, the OpenGL support offers high speed drawing with motion blur and smoke trails. File size is 446 KB. Othello Game with Plug-in Architecture "Reversi Unlimited"

ColdSteel Software has released Reversi Unlimited. Reversi Unlimited is an Othello game with plug-in support to adds themes and musics. File size is 1,023 KB. Realistic International Soccer Management Simulation "Championship Manager 3 99/00"

Feral Entertainment has released Championship Manager 3 99/00. Championship Manager 3 99/00 (PC publisher: Sports Interactive, porting: Elegant Chaos) is a realistic data-oriented international soccer management simulation game includes accurate data of over 40,000 players, managers, and coaches belong to 16 leagues around world in Europe, North and South America, and Japan (game info). The user, as a manager, selects a team and manages it in many aspect such as competitions, training, scout, and transfer. 2D Shooting Arcade "Captain Bumper" First Preview Version Posted

MacRun Software has posted the First Preview Version of Captain Bumper. Captain Bumper is a humorous 2D shooting arcade game where player controls a space fighter to reach the goals while avoiding and defeating enemies and obstacles. It features smooth high speed scrolling thanks to an optimal game engine and unique cartoon-style animation. File size is 4.9 MB. Maze Exploration Puzzle Game "T'sGame#03"

Kazuhiro Torisu* has released T'sGame#03*. T'sGame#03 is a simple and unique maze exploration puzzle game which is the third installment of his mini game series. The player controls a character to gather gold pieces and to escape from mazes. It features 10 easy but tricky stages. File size is 357 KB* (more info*). Requires PowerPC. Freeware. -- Descent 3 1.3.1 (Graphic Simulations): Latest installment of the popular 3D omnidirectional shooting action game series. -- GameRanger 1.0b17 (Scott Kevill): Client software for the general online gaming service. Version 1.0b17 features improvements of alerts and timeout detection, and other improvements and fixes. Virtual Pet Simulation "iPet"

Illusion Software has released iPet. iPet is a virtual pet simulation where player breeds a pet and communicate with it through various conversation. The pet file is customizable by modifying graphics and conversations with ResEdit. File size is 634 KB (more info). Shareware $15. Also, CD-ROM version with bonus pets is available for $30. Heroes of Might and Magic III Released

The 3DO Company has released Heroes of Might and Magic III. Heroes of Might and Magic III (developer: New World Computing, porting: Evolution Interactive) is the latest installment of the networkable fantasy strategy conquest game series with the theme of hero quests in Erathia world of Might and Magic. In the game, the player controls the actions of heroes to carry out various mission scenarios while conquering and managing towns (game info). The newest installment includes enhanced game factors such as more artifacts, spells, creatures, hero types, adventure objects as well as subterranean explorations, Grail Buildings, and various mini-quests. It also features a variety of single and campaign scenarios, high quality pre-rendered graphics, and greatly improved user interface. The Mac version doesn't support net games with PC version and expansion packs for PC but maps are compatible between Mac and PC. Also, Evolution Interactive is working on Mac version of the Map Editor. Japan Central Released Madden NFL 2000 for Japanese Market

Japan Central* (Pacific Software Publishing) has released Madden NFL 2000 with Japanese manual* earlier than the previous schedule. Madden NFL 2000 (PC version publisher: EA Sports, porting: Westlake Interactive, USA publisher: Aspyr Media) is full-featured 3D American football simulation game supervised by famous coach and sports caster John Madden where user manages a team and makes games by controlling each players. It features massive team and player data licensed by the National Football League and the Players Association. Also features various game modes both for beginners and experts, realistic game scenes thanks to the motion captures and advanced AIs, and high quality 3D graphics. -- Mockyun-to Odoro X'mas Mix 1.11* (Kumagoya Soft*): Christmas version of the simple and humorous dancing arcade game where player controls the little reindeer to repeat the dance of Mokyun the dancing Santa Claus dog. The X'mas Mix version features unique rap versions of Christmas music. File size is 1.7 MB (more info*). Freeware. Japanese software.

-- CandyHouse 1.0.9 (Candy House): Mah-Jongg game with unique computer characters. Version 1.0.9 fixes a bug with an alert on 68K machines. File size is 1.2 MB. Shareware ¥3,000 (¥3,200 for online registration*). Japanese software.

Sci-fi 3D Robot Action Game "Young's Modulus" Alpha Version Posted

Laminar Research, known for X-Plane, has posted an alpha version of Young's Modulus. Young's Modulus is a sci-fi 3D robot action game set in various planets in the Galaxy. It features, like as X-plane, high quality OpenGL 3D graphics and realistic physics as well as strategic scene to conquer the Galaxy. Size of the alpha version is 6.4 MB. Networkable Yatzee Game "Netzee" Public Beta Posted

Ekim Software has posted a public beta version 1.0b14 of Netzee. Netzee is a networkable Yatzee dice game where up to four players roll 5 dices and takes scores by Poker-like combinations. File size of the beta version is 413 KB. (Source: Version Tracker)

Another Mah Jong Puzzle Game "Nikaku-dori FINAL"

Tetsuya Hongo* has released Nikaku-dori FINAL*. Nikaku-dori FINAL is an enhanced version of another Mah Jong tile puzzle game popular in Japan where player turns over pairs of same tiles that are adjacent directly or through a group of turned-over tiles. The FINAL version features various helps for novice, new special items, and new bonus games such as Memory. File size is 891 KB*. Download version 1.1 since version 1.0 has a problem causing system errors at startup. The plug-in is available via auto updating of version 1.0b14 or later. Public beta version.

Civilization: Call To Power Preorder Started in USA and Canada, Release Expected in January 13

MacSoft started accepting preorders of Civilization: Call To Power. Civilization: Call To Power (PC publisher: Activision, porting: Westlake Interactive) is the latest installment of the popular political management and strategic conquest simulation series where player manages an empire in various period of the history and develop it into a great power through diplomacy and warfare. The new installment features totally redesigned graphics and interface, futuristic scenarios set in space colony and deep sea, unconventional warfare such as economic attacks and propaganda, movie scenes of various Wonders of the World (game info). It is a DVD-ROM enhanced version of 14th installment of popular train driving simulator series. The DVD-ROM version features the larger movie with more flame rate, the gauge to stop exactly, various setting such as high speed mode. Star Wars: Episode I Racer is a sci-fi racing arcade game based on the Podracing sequence of the latest Star Wars film "Episode I", where player, as Anakin Skywalker, takes part of the races as one of over 20 Podracers. It features over 20 tracks in 8 unique worlds, high performance 3D graphics that presents racing scene at 600 mph, various parts to upgrade the podracer, and up to 8 players multi play via LAN. Requires PowerPC G3/233 MHz or better (iMac recommended), Mac OS 8.1 or later, RAM 32 MB or larger, free memory 16 MB or larger, CD-ROM 12x or faster (24x recommended), 3D card with VRAM 4 MB or larger supported. 3-D Ultra NASCAR Pinball Finally Released in USA

According to some retail stores such as Mac-O-Rama, Sierra Attractions have seemed to release 3-D Ultra NASCAR Pinball in USA. 3-D Ultra NASCAR Pinball is a variety pinball game inspired by NASCAR racing where player, as one of real NASCAR drivers, plays three tables; Garage, Speedway, and Pitstop. It features speedy game play and easy game play for beginners. Requires PowerPC (200 MHz or faster recommended), Mac OS 7.6.1 or later (8.5 or later recommended), RAM 16 MB or larger (32 MB or larger recommended), free HD 60 MB or larger (110 MB or larger recommended), 800 x 600/256 colors or better, CD-ROM 4x or faster (16x or faster recommended). -- Fly! 1.01.83 (Terminal Reality): General aviation simulator focused on light aircrafts. Size of the Required Patch is 41.2 MB, updater from version 1.01.82 is 7.2 MB, Optional Elevation Patch is 49.3 MB (more info). Beta updater.
Followup: Some users reported the problem with small updater from version 1.01.82. If you are encountered an error at startup, re-install the original retail version and update directly to version 1.01.83. As of December 18, the small updater from version 1.01.82 seemes to be updated.
