-- Realmz 6.0.5 (Fantasoft): Popular 2D top view and 3D maze view epic fantasy role playing game. Version 6.0.5 fixes crashing bugs and changes a caste parameter. Low-Priced Compact Version of Loony Labyrinth Released

LittleWing and ORSEN* has released Desk Top Game PINBALL Vol. 2*. It is low-priced, compact version of popular pinball arcade game Loony Labyrinth offered in a single CD-ROM for price around ¥1,000. Requires 68LC040/33 MHz or better (PowerPC recommended), Japanese System 7.5 or later (Mac OS 8.5 compatible), free memory 3 MB or larger, free HD 5 MB or larger, 640 x 480/256 colors or better. Ancient Board Game "Mancala 2000"

Sandy Knoll Software has released Mancala 2000. Mancala 2000 is an ancient strategy board game comes from Africa where 2 players take as many gems by moving 48 gems around 12 trays. File size is 544 KB. Shareware $5.

Shareware Train Simulator "Tokyu Denentoshi-sen Simulator"

Yu Tsukui* has released Tokyu Denentoshi-sen Simulator*. It is a simple train simulator where player drive real-world train running on local section in Tokyo. It contains only short section to play, but features realistic scenery using QuickTime movie and realistic train controlling system. File size is 8.1 MB*. LucasArts to Release Star Wars: Episode I Racer in this Fall

LucasArts Entertainment announced that they are to release Star Wars: Episode I Racer in this fall. Star Wars: Episode I Racer is a sci-fi racing arcade game based on the Podracing sequence of the latest Star Wars film "Episode I", where player, as Anakin Skywalker, takes part of the races as one of over 20 Podracers. It features over 20 tracks in 8 unique worlds and the high speed racing scene at 600 mph.

Open Architecture Tetris Arcade "BlockForge"

Serpent Software has released BlockForge. BlockForge is a Tetris-like puzzle arcade game featuring an open architecture that allows to customize the interface theme and music by users. 3-D Ultra NASCAR Pinball Released in Japan

P. & A.* and Toshiba EMI* have released 3-D Ultra NASCAR Pinball* with Japanese manual. 3-D Ultra NASCAR Pinball, developed by Sierra Attractions, is a variety pinball game inspired by NASCAR racing where player, as one of real NASCAR drivers, plays three tables; Garage, Speedway, and Pitstop. It features speedy game play and easy game play for beginners. Requires PowerPC (200 MHz or faster recommended), Mac OS 7.6.1 or later, RAM 16 MB or larger (32 MB or larger), 800 x 600/256 colors or better, CD-ROM 4x or faster. SOURCENEXT Ships StarCraft in Early April

SOURCENEXT* announced that they ships StarCraft with Japanese manual* in early April. StarCraft is a WarCraft-like sci-fi real time strategy game where player fights against an alien. Also the USA version of StarCraft is in package production but no release date has been announced yet.

SME Intermedia* has released 4 new game CD-ROMs of Shock Price 500 Series. Shock Price 500 Series is a line of low priced game CD-ROM.

-- Igo: Go program with 4 different types of computer routine and various features such as tutorials.
-- Crossword: Collection of Japanese crossword puzzles with 50 puzzles.
-- Sugoroku Fantasy: Large-scaled roll and move-style role playing game set in a fantasy world. The player must collect 9 treasure to defeat the demon lord.
-- Dynamite Panic!: Maze-type puzzle arcade game where player construct a railway leads to the goal.

Lode Runner 2 Japanese Version Shipped

Kog Planning and Crosstalk* has released Lode Runner 2 Japanese Version*. Developed by Presage Software, originally published by MacSoft, Lode Runner 2 is an enhanced sequel to Lode Runner, a popular classic 2D arcade game, featuring more complex stages of five different 3D worlds, high quality 3D graphics, more than 150 levels with 6-directional scrolling, and up to 8 players game. Star Trek: The Borg Japanese Version Shipped

DataHouse Beagle* has released Star Trek: The Borg Japanese Version*. Originally published by Simon & Schuster Interactive, distributed by JVC Advanced Media, Star Trek: The Borg is an interactive movie adventure based on Star Trek The Next Generation where player fights against The Borg. It features 120 minutes of movie scenes by the TV series stuff and cast as well as Japanese voice actors. Add-On Medical Module for AQUAZONE "Redxine 20" Released

OPeNBooK 9003* has released Redxine 20* as a freeware. Redxine 20 is an add-on medical module for the aquarium simulation AQUAZONE* to cure mechanical fish such as iMacinfish and Mekasia series. File size is 28 KB*.

Japan Central Starts Accepting Preorder of Logicware Products for Low Price

Japan Central* (Pacific Software Publishing) announced that they releases Japanese market version of 5 Logicware games and started preorder now. Each titles contains a Japanese manual and an updater CD-ROM. These will be available on 3/31 for lower price than in USA.

-- Tempest 2000*: High quality remake of the famous classic arcade game. $16.95.
-- Shattered Steel*: 3D first person shooting with mechanized weapon like Mech Warrior. $24.95.
-- Killing Time*: 3D first person perspective shooting horror adventure set in Egyptian ruins. $16.95.
-- ASTROROCK 2000*: Asteroids-type high speed omni directional 2D space shooting game. $16.95.
-- Jazz Jackrabbit 2*: SONIC-type 8-layered parallax scrolling 2D high-paced action arcade game. $24.95.

Realmz 6.0.1 Released. Character Editor and Divinity also Updated.

Fantasoft has released Realmz 6.0.1. Realmz is a popular 2D top view and 3D maze view epic fantasy role playing game and the new version includes new scenario "Trouble in the Sword Lands" as well as Divinity scenario support, new Caste "Minstrel," and many other improvements (more info). Characters and saved games from older versions are not compatible with the new version due to the great change in its game system. File size is 14.2 MB (more info). One who already has version 6.0.0 may download an updater with size 271 KB (more info). Requires free memory 5 MB or larger, 640 x 480/256 colors or better. Shareware $20 for Realmz itself and $13 for each additional scenario.

Realmz Character Editor has also been updated to 6.0.0. The updater size is 348 KB (more info). The full version is available directly for $10.

Also, the scenario editor "Divinity" and its scenario player "Divine Right" have been updated to 6.0.1. The size of the updater from the original CD-ROM 1.0 is 1.5 MB, the updater from CD-ROM 5.1.2 is 775 KB (more info). The full version is available directly for $45.

iMagic Online, known for the online flight simulator Warbirds, has released the beta version of Dawn of Aces. Dawn of Aces is a WWI flight simulator for net play featuring various machines including Fokker and even Zeppelin with missions as fighter, bomber, and scout as well as balloon hunting. It is networkable via the iMOL online arena or a direct Internet connection in Head-To-Head mode. It supports various Joysticks thanks to InputSprocket and includes online help to find the key operations. File size is 9.7 MB, 1024 x 768 cockpit art file is 5.1 MB (more info). Book "TRISTAN Pinball" Shipped with the New Version of TRISTAN

BNN* has shipped "TRISTAN Pinball." TRISTAN Pinball is a book about TRISTAN*, an award winning classic pinball game from LittleWing, that contains a review, a strategy and interviews. Also, it bundled with a CD-ROM that contains full version of TRISTAN 2.01, a new version supporting latest Macintoshes such as iMac.
