Yoot Tower Shipped?

According to several news source such as MacGaming.com and Mac 3D dot com, Yoot Tower, the sequel to Sim Tower developed by Yoot Entertainment, published by Sega Entertainment, seems to be shipped now. Direct order is available for $29.95 (only in USA).

Maximum Space Development Version Released

Alchemist Consultant has released public development version of Maximum Space. Maximum Space is a 3D space shooting game set around Neptune. It featured the beautiful graphics using fast hardware/software rendering. The file size of version 0.32 is 2.6 MB (more info). Shareware $20. (Source: Electric Games)

Fighting Pong Arcade "Blood Pong"

Monkey Byte Development, recently committed to Mac market by their attractive games such as Jr. Bill Hunter, has released Mac-only game "Blood Pong". Blood Pong is a Pong arcade game combined with fighting-like game play where player fights against the opponent by paddling, special skills, and weapons. File size is 4.8 MB. Colorful Board-Style Puzzle Game "Kaged: The Magic Orbs"

Monkey Byte Development has released Kaged: The Magic Orbs. Kaged is a colorful board-style puzzle game where player moves orbs to make given position and coloring. It features easy rule and user interface, over -10,000 game variation of various puzzles and board layouts. File size is 1.8 MB. Bungie Announced Upcoming Sci-Fi Japanese Anime-Style 3D Action "Oni"

Bungie Software Products announced Oni. Oni ("demons" in Japanese) is, developed by Bungie Studios West, a 3D third person action game where player, as a woman SWAT "Konoko", fights against criminals in a near-future city. It features Japanese sci-fi anime-like 3D characters and story line, beautiful urban graphics using radiosity rendering. The game is called Full Contact Action, a flexible and thrilling action play that consists martial arts and gun play. Expected in 1999. (Source: MacGaming.com, MGL, and other sources)

3D Car Battle Shooting "Assault Vehicle"

XYZ Entertainment has released Assault Vehicle. Assault Vehicle is a 3D car battle shooting game where player drives various vehicle and shoots enemies using weapons. The graphics is sprite-based and not so excellent, but it features 8 unique vehicle including bus/truck/bulldozer, various stages in daytime or nighttime mode, 14 powerful weapons, and various game modes including network multi play. Size of demo version is 14.8 MB (more info). Requires PowerPC, free memory 15 MB or larger, display 640 x 480 or better. Full CD-ROM version is available directly for $15 + S/H. Graphical Adventure "The Castle" Released.

BLUE LINE STUDIOS has released The Castle. The Castle is a graphic-rich adventure game where player explores in a labyrinth of the mysterious castle. It features a variety of puzzles and mysteries to solve as well as mysterious story with passion and betrayals. Demo version (8.6 MB) is available (more info). Requires System 7.0 or later, 640 x 400/256 colors or better (32,000 colors or better recommended), CD-ROM 4x or faster (8x or faster recommended). After Dark Games Demo Posted

Berkeley Systems posted the demo of After Dark Games. After Dark Games is a collection of 11 humorous games featuring well-known characters in After Dark modules. The demo contains 3 games; Bad Dog 911, Mowin' Maniac, and Roof Rats. Each game is playable for 5 round in the demo. File size is 7.2 MB (more info). Snaking Arcade Game "aWorm"

Serpent Software has released aWorm. aWorm is a snaking arcade game where player controls a worm to take dots in the field while avoiding walls and itself. 1-player or 2-player mode supported. File size is 532 KB. Shareware $10.

Simplified Strategic War Game "Colonisation 2.0"

Alain Paschoud has released Colonisation 2.0 English Version. Colonisation is a fictitious strategic war game featuring simplified units and rules. The game consists the ground, sea, and air units as well as cities for production that allows to play the basics of strategy game easily. It also supports playing by mail. File size is 313 KB. Exile Trilogy CD-ROM to be Released on December 1

SpiderWeb Software releases Exile Trilogy CD-ROM on December 1. It is a trilogy bundle pack of Exile, a popular fantasy role playing game series, contains registered version of Exile: Escape from the Pit, Exile 2: Crystal Souls, Exile 3: Ruined World, and their character editors. The Untouchable Released?

According to several retail stores in USA, Power Media seemed to release The Untouchable. The Untouchable is a realistic Martial Arts fighting arcade game developed by Creative Edge Software. It features realistic techniques/motions captured from a variety of real-world martial artists, , stereographical multilayer background with parallax zooming and scrolling, and 6 play modes such as practice and net play. Although no official announcement of the release has been given, Power Media renews The Untouchable page and accepts preorder for $49.95.

Zero Entertainment has released AlphaNatix: Urban Legend Edition. AlphaNatix is a series of word puzzle arcade game where player moves a ball on a grid board to select the letters for required words. There are various traps and gimmicks in each platform and the players are required complex strategy. Urban Legend Edition is the first installment of the series featuring unique themes related to a variety of American urban legends such as "Alligator in the Sewer" and "Kidney Thieves". Logicware Site Renewal, New Titles Officially Announced

Logicware renewed their site and officially announced upcoming titles:

-- Redneck Rampage: Near-future sci-fi 3D first person perspective shooting set in Southern USA. Expected on November 18 ($39.95).

-- Jazz Jackrabbit 2: 8-layer parallax scrolling 2D high quality action arcade game. Expected on November 18 ($29.95).

-- Zork Grand Inquisitor: Latest graphic adventure based on classic Zork world. Expected in 1999.

-- Interstate '76 Arsenal: Car battle game set in 70's Southwestern USA. Bundle of Interstate '76 and the expansion Nitro Pack. Expected in 1999.

-- Battlezone: Powered-up version of the classic 3D sci-fi action strategy game set in the Solar System. Expected in 1999.

The new site is more Mac-focused and it is clear that Logicware is going to be more Mac-centric publisher.

New Generation Text Adventure "Once and Future"

Cascade Mountain Publishing has released Once and Future. Once and Future is a text adventure game to be called Infocom's true successor. It features a full-length story set in the Vietnam War by Kevin Wilson. The publisher Cascade Mountain Publishing is founded by Michael Berlyn, who also is an interactive fiction writer well-known for Infocom's classic Cutthroats, Suspended and Infidel. Power wheelchair simulator "Wheels" for Severe Disabilities

RJ Cooper & Associates, known for a line of hardwares and softwares for various disabilities, has released Wheels. Wheels is a power wheelchair simulator and 3D action game for people with severe disabilities using the Marathon engine. The player controls a power wheelchair to find out the exit while fighting against humorous enemies with pies. It is somewhat difficult to control wheels in a building with obstacles and is good for wheelchair training. Also features simple graphics, loud sounds, and various controller support for other disabilities. File size is 2.6 MB (more info). Recommends 68040 or better, System 7.0 or later. Ambrosia's Slithereens Site Opened

The official site of Ambrosia Software's upcoming Slithereens has opened. Slithereens is a humorous snake battle arcade game where player, as a snake, slithers around in a maze and fight against opponent's snake. It features plenty of animated graphics and sound effects. Also supports network cooperative or competitive play. Expected in this year.

Mac Trivia Quiz Collection "MacCentral Trivia Challenge"

MacCentral, known as greatest Macintosh news site, and CompleatMac Software, known for X-Files Trivia Challenge, have developed and released MacCentral's Mac Trivia Challenge. Mac Trivia Challenge is a trivia quiz collection including Mac-related questions of various categories. Player must answer 21 questions and additional 6 in the Bonus Round. It has 3 difficulty levels and the player must type the answers without hints in the Hard level. File size is 944 KB. Requires 68020 or better, System 7.0 or later, free memory 6 MB or larger. Shareware $10. The first 10 perfect player on the Hard level will win a MacCentral T-shirt. A sequel, Mac Trivia Challenge 2, is also planned.

Scenario Software has released final version of iPOKER. iPOKER is an enhanced version of PowerPOKER, a full-featured poker game. Christmas Time Released

Takeshi Sakai has released Christmas Time. Christmas Time is a humorous arcade game where player, as the Santa, delivers presents to children. It is somewhat difficult to deliver presents in good choice and timing, but it is fun to find out a variety of events and tricks in the town. File size is 2.0 MB* (more info*). Freeware. MacSoft Online Store Opened

MacSoft opened their online store on the Web. The store is run by GT Interactive and also available are products of other subsidiaries such as Humongous Entertainment. Unfortunately, their latest products such as Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter and Lode Runner 2 are not available at this point.

MBA Business Game: Launch Released

Nihon Keizai Shimbun* has released "MBA Business Game: Launch*". Launch is, developed by Japan-based CDI* and USA-based SENTIUS, serious business simulation using MBA business game theory where player, as an executive of a moon travel agency in 21st century, manages his company through market research, resource management, and risk management. It features very realistic business experience and speedy game play.
