(shoubu-1) Shoubu Town in Saitama Prefecture (No.1)

Shoubu Town is named after "shoubu" or iris.

But, nowadays, this town is famous for lavender.
There is a small "Lavender Mountain" in the Shira-sagi Park in the town.

This year, blooming of lavender is said one week behind, so it is about 20-30% in its bloom on June 24,2005, when I went there..
Maybe, it will be in full bloom in the second week in July.

This is the Lifetime Study Center.in the town In this building, there is a small restaurant that is the only one restaurant in this area..	This is the small "Lavender Mountain"	A photo on the way to the hill top.
Various hydrangeas are in full bloom.	Big bees are also in busy season. They are not dangerous.	This is a kind of hydrangeas.
