PNR Carmona Station
Where is here? HOME

Probably this line is the only branch line under operation of PNR.
From the San Pedro station of a PNR south line, it branches and is about 3km line to a Carmona station.
Mr.Marcy who is having the web site -Honshu railroad-, was discovered this line on the map.
This map is 1/10000 map created in 1987 put on the market by NAMRIA.
Time had passed considerably since creation of a map and the present condition was interested in what has become.
Since it is close to the my home ground in Philippines, when it goes to the Philippines last time, I have carried out on October 29, 2002.
When going to a Carmona Municipal office first and explaining the situation, I was allowed to accompany the staff also kindly.

この線はPNR(Philippine National Railways:フィリピン国鉄)のおそらく稼働中の唯一の支線です。

Click blue arrows on the map. It will jump to the photograph taken there.

It gets down from the northernmost end of a platform to a track, and the direction of San Pedro is seen. The track has branched at the switch about 50m. Although there is no house since right-hand side is a cliff. Does it turn out that the remains of a flange remain inside a track as a proof by which the train is also coming now?

The opposite direction of an upper photograph. The direction of a terminal point is seen from the northernmost end of a platform. The enclosure of a station is full of weeds. If it is Japan, it is an attractive point called the discarded track. However, it is said that only one train per comes to 4:00! day every morning. It is said that the train came the interval like every 15 minutes till the end of the 1980s. Structure of a station building and a platform is the atmosphere of the commuter suburban station in Japan except for the fact that it is ruined.

The photograph which overlooked the place which took the upper photograph. Even if the fence which is beside a basket court is torn and it does not pass along a ticket gate, it can get down at the northernmost end of a platform easily. Thus, a platform is located in a place lower about 3m than land with a station building. It is because the track is running along the valley exactly. It seems that moreover, the river is flowing according to the map although not noticed beyond a back wood there. Since it does not say here but there is no fence in the circumference of a station, somewhere will also be put in if it becomes the mind.

The place which took the upper photograph is photoed. The fence which is beside the basket court in the same level as a station. Since the place of a station is not good and is a town blank, it is made leisurely.

The direction of a station building is photoed from the same place as the upper photograph. The only way from which the road in the left-hand side of a central telegraph pole gets down to the station of a valley. This way is the dead end on this basket court. What is parked at a left end is the lite-ace of its own car who used for movement. These two months after, this car was thrown at the bus, damaged the place stopped temporarily on the crossing of PNR, and was taken out of service.(ToT)

Before the gate included in a station. This man is the stationmaster. Being exactly closed by the jeepney is the entrance of a station building. The ruins of a market (People's Mart) have opened the mouth in the left black. It seems that the market was abolished by 1993 age. If a train does not come, since it is a free town blank here, if the number of a train becomes fewer, a visitor will not come.

It is the ticket gate seen from the platform side. It is built in the direction of slant to the entrance. Already the same thing is in the right-hand side of this photograph.

It is the ticket gate seen from the opposite side of an upper photograph. It is enclosed with the iron fence and does not put in.A price list and notification are stuck on the wall. If it clicks, it can expand and see.

Direction is changed and photoed from the almost same place as an upper photograph. Thus, there is also a gate out of which it comes to a platform side, without passing along a ticket gate. The gate here was opened.

They are the children playing in the station. It will have gathered, if I sit on a bench and am changing camera films.

It is the complete view of a station building. It is hard to see in the shadow of a gate. A billiards and SARISARI store is located at a right end. There were several visitors and stationmasters.

The station building complete view from the ruins entrance of a market.

The inside of a market is photoed from a market entrance. It tends to be ruined. Although it was probably active when the train was running every 15 minutes, is it a parking lot substitute now?

Stairs to which it gets down from a station building to a platform. There is width of stairs like a station building.

A photograph is taken centering on the place which took the upper photograph. It just came out of the ticket gate. Thus, a remarkable level difference is between platforms.

The opening-of-traffic commemoration plate stuck on the wall of the station building which is on the right of an upper photograph. It is made to pride oneself as president Marcos built this branch line, and is written to mind. There is a stamp of April.1.1973. It seems that it was simultaneously built when emigrating to this area squatter who were in Manila.

Since it is called small river ? or water is flowing, it is a bridge. Although it is the simple structure which made the rail the beam, it has improved of required sufficient structure well. Probably, in Japan, it will not be absolutely.

The direction of a terminal point is photoed from the end of the platform by the side of a terminal point. In the place in which a right end man (staff who accompanied) is, a thin way is located along a track. It will be called "Dog run" if it is Japanese. If it is English without knowing why, it will be called "Catwalk".
何故か英語だとCatwalk(猫歩き?)

It is the complete view of the platform from a terminal point. A photograph was taken from the position in which the staff was with the upper photograph. "Dog run" looks good.

It is the terminal point of this branch line. the marks where the track joined -- the track is lost immediately In order to replace an engine originally, it is thought that there was length to a slight degree. There is usually a terminal point sign etc. in the end of a track. It seemed that there was nothing left. The blue thing which looks at back like a terminal point sign seems to be the pump of a well.

It consists of a photography position of an upper photograph for reverse, and the direction of a station building is photoed. The upper right is the ruins of a market. With a track, there is an altitude difference like this. it comes out to a slight degree, and is likely to be filled by the plant It is discarded track, however it may see, if it is Japan.

From a terminal point to photography There is a trace which dug up the track. Ballast or a tie are not visible to a track at all.

The switch sign which stands beside the switch at a terminal point. It seems that this is not being interlocked with the change of a switch. It seems that the change direction will be judged when "a red arrow" or "a white disk" appears from a driver if a lower left lever is raised, a notch is removed and it rotates 90 degrees.
