Access Guide from Tokyo
In case of train, there are several ways to choose. The most convenient and fastest way is to get a direct train from Tokyo station. Though it takes only one hour from Tokyo to Goi station, it is inconvenient that such direct trains are put in service only at 1 or 2-hour intervals.
In case of local train, time required from Tokyo to Goi will be up to two hours. On the other hand, such local trains are put in service at 10-minute intervals. Please be sure that there are three railway stations in Ichihara City, these are Goi, Yawatajuku, Anegasaki, each. Goi station is a major station of Ichihara City.
If you drive a car from Tokyo, the time required is completely depends on traffics. When the traffic is heavy, more than 2 hours will be required. When the traffic is smooth, you can arrive at Ichihara within 1 hour.
If you take a taxi from New Tokyo International Airport (Narita Airport) to Ichihara, please be sure that taxi fee is over 15,000 Yen.

Climate Condition
Climate of this region is almost same as Tokyo, but a little warmer, I think. It rarely snows in this region. But sometimes you may feel cold due to strong wind in winter season. It is hot and humid in summer season.

Hotel Accommodations
There are several hotels suitable for foreign tavellers. Average hotel charge is about 7,000 to 10,000 Yen. If visiting Japan is the first time for you, GOI Grand Hotel is recommendable. If you prefer high-graded hotels, you had better reserve hotels in Chiba City, especially in Makuhari area. Naturally, charges will be expensive.

Sister City
Ichihara City has a relationship with Mobile City, Alabama, U.S, as a sister city since Nov. 10 1993.

Tourist Attraction
*Yoro-keikoku (Yoro valley) : Located in southern part of Ichihara. Flowers in spring season and red leaf in autumn season are both beautiful. Also, Yoro-keikoku is famous as hot-spring resort.
*Children's Country : Facility for children, located near the central of the City. There are a lot of play goods in the park.
*Temple of Kasamori Kannon : Kannon-do (it is a kind of "Church") is construcred on a rocky hill. Characteristic construction.

Home Town of JEF United Ichihara
JEF United Ichihara is a professional soccer team based on Ichihara City. I am afraid that the results of game are not so good, so far.
